HTV Update

Dear HTV families,

Just a quick update from Huntington Tri-Village Little League.

We are sure you are aware that things can and do change in the overall and local situation regarding COVID-19, sometimes quickly. A couple of days after our last letter, the governor extended the statewide shutdown to May 15th, beyond Little League’s recommended date of May 11th.

We expect to hear within a week from state and local authorities about where we stand in New York and the town of Huntington with respect to the virus and the process towards reopening. Little League International is also planning to provide more information and guidance to its leagues in early May. While this information likely will not provide all the answers we need, it should help us plan and will help shape what spring and summer will look like for leagues on Long Island.

As always, our primary focus is on the safety and well-being of all the members of the HTV family. We will adhere to the guidelines set forth by our state and local governments and health officials when determining when it is safe to return to Little League activities. We will keep you updated as we receive new information.
