Let's keep the children playing.

As we enter October, we are all grateful that the children in the Huntington area have been able to play baseball and softball with their friends. This can only occur with the assistance of HTV Little League families. Our thanks for your cooperation in following the government-mandated safety procedures. We know it has taken some adjustment by families and coaches, as it has for other HTV volunteers.

We do need to remind our families of a few things:

To help protect players and volunteers, remember that players, coaches, spectators, and other personnel must wear face coverings while entering and exiting the Greenlawn Park complex. and team personnel must wear coverings when they are checked in by a volunteer.

Players should keep their face coverings available during the game as they are required to wear them when they are not on the field actively playing or practicing. Having returned to school, many children have adjusted to this, but please remind them to keep their mask handy and wear it when required.

State mandated mask and social distancing laws apply to all spectators. This includes all children over the age of two.

No one but players, coaches, and HTV personnel should enter the player area at any time. Players should remain in the player area, and avoid interaction with anyone not on their team during the game. Players and spectators should remain distanced during the games for the protection of everyone present.

Our continued ability to have children play is dependent on our players, parents, coaches, and other volunteers' willingness to work together.

Thank you.
